Frequently Asked Question
How is the Fortis Academy PTF organized?
The Fortis Academy PTF is led by a PTF Leadership Team that currently consists of two leaders and two volunteer coordinators. These leaders oversee the PTF support of our Fortis families and school administration. In addition to our Leadership Team, there are a variety of committees that require Chairpersons. These chairs oversee the planning, preparation, and completion of a variety of PTF sponsored programs and events hosted throughout the school year.
When does the Fortis Academy PTF meet?
PTF Leadership meets as needed. PTF Chairs meet in preparation for events or for planning purposes. In an effort to keep Fortis families informed, a bi-semester update is distributed via email.
How do I become a PTF Member?
PTF membership does not require a membership fee. We view every parent as a member of the PTF and would love to have you as an active participant of our program!
What is the time commitment if I would like to volunteer?
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your schedule. We know schedules are very busy, and we value the importance of respecting our volunteers’ time. There are many volunteer opportunities that can be done from your home or throughout the day on campus. Most volunteer positions, whether they are done from home or require you to be on site, range from an hour or two a month to a 5-10 hour per month time commitment. Some opportunities are short-term/one-time event only commitments, while other opportunities are year-long. If you have questions or concerns about time constraints with regards to volunteering, please contact us so we can find a good fit for you that will accommodate your schedule.
